Andhra Bank

Andhra Bank was founded by Dr.Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya. The bank commenced business on 28th November 1923 with a paid up capital of Rs 1 lakh and an authorised capital of Rs 10 lakh.

Andhra bank has entered into sharing arrangements with State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Bank and UTI Bank, offering over 9,000 ATMs spread across the country for use by customers.
The first international credit card was issued to a restricted number of customers by Andhra Bank in 1987 through the Visa program, after getting special permission from the Reserve Bank of India.
Andhra Bank provides state-of-the-art services to its customers. All the branches of the bank are computerized and 850 branches are networked under core banking solution providing ‘ANYWHERE BANKING’. The Bank also provides instant transfer fund facility through its branches.
